Jasper Drilling, born in Richmond, VA, is a mixed media artist currently based in Indianapolis, IN. Through printmaking, papermaking, and installations, he explores where biology, nature, and identity are in flux. Jasper earned his BA in Studio Art at University of Mary Washington, where he was awarded the Emil R. Schnellock Award in painting. After graduating, Jasper returned to his hometown of Richmond, Virginia, where he was a Studio Access Resident at the Visual Arts Center, and had his solo show Larval Stages at Art Works Gallery.  Currently, he is an MFA candidate at Herron School of Art and Design, studying printmaking.
